Ingredients

    •    1 cup celery stalks, chopped

    •    2 inches fresh ginger root, scrubbed (unpeeled)

    •    2 inches fresh turmeric root, scrubbed (unpeeled) — or 1 tsp turmeric powder

    •    1 whole lemon (peel it, cut in half, and add to the juicer)

    •    Pinch of black pepper or cayenne pepper

Instructions

   1.    Wash ginger and turmeric thoroughly (leave peel on).

    2.    Peel a whole lemon, cut it in half, and add it to the juicer. (Save the peel to zest on salads or other dishes.)

    3.    Run celery, ginger, turmeric, and lemon halves through the juicer.

    4.    Make sure to double juice, because there is a lot of juice left in the fiber.

    5.    Pour into small glasses, sprinkle with black pepper or cayenne, and serve immediately.
